KROC Center Groundbreaking

     Groundbreaking for Salem’s Kroc Center will take place on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Music begins at 10:30 a.m. The program will likely conclude by 1:30 p.m.

     Bill Frey Drive NE will be closed to through traffic beginning at 10:00 a.m. Access will be allowed only to those attending the ceremony. Volunteers organized by the Salvation Army will oversee parking.

     Signs have been posted on Portland Road NE and Salem Industrial Drive NE notifying the public and businesses of the Wednesday closure.

     Suggested detour routes during the closure are:

• From the south—Portland Road NE to Cherry Avenue NE to Salem Industrial Drive NE.
• From the north—Hyacinth Avenue NE to Salem Parkway to Cherry Avenue NE to Salem Industrial Drive NE.
