Airport Regulations

The Salem Airport operates under Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139, Salem Revised Code Chapter 9 , Appendix 1 and Airport Rules and Regulations  . Because the Airport receives Federal Grants, the airport must abide by 49 CFR Part 26. In doing so, the airport is required to have an approved DBE Program in prior to receiving any Federal funds.

Chapter 9 provides minimum standards for the airport and the attached appendix lists the requirements for Insurance Coverage.

Chapter 125 - Airport Overlay Zone provides building height information for areas surrounding the airport along with hazardous use restrictions.

Chapter 143G - McNary Field Overlay Zone provides for additional permitted uses in the Public Service (PS) zones on McNary Field.
