Shade Tree Advisory Committee

The Salem Parks and Recreation Advisory Board designates three of its members to join three citizen volunteers  nominated at large to act as the Shade Tree Committee. This committee acts as a liaison between the public and the agency to hear controversial tree issues and make recommendations. They meet quarterly or as necessary to discharge their duties and responsibilities. They keep up-to-date lists regarding current needs and make recommendations on tree plans and necessary ordinance changes to the Salem Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

To apply to serve on this committee, an application must be completed and sent to SalemParks@cityofsalem.net or  Parks Operations Division, 1460 20th St SE, Salem, OR 97302.
