NUMBER OF MEMBERS: Eleven TERM LENGTH: Three years

The Housing and Urban Development Advisory Committee serves in an advisory capacity on issues relating to allocation of Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds and on other matters related to HUD that may be requested by the City Council. The Committee will make policy recommendations to the Council on five-year strategic plans, on annual plans for specific project budgets, and on project modifications to the plans. Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.

Special membership requirements: The Board shall be composed of: three at-large members from the general public; two representatives from the Salem Planning Commission; two representatives from the Salem Housing Advisory Committee; one representative from the Salem Human Rights and Relations Advisory Commission; one representative from the Salem Social Services Advisory Board; one at-large member from the City of Keizer; one representative from a neighborhood organization.
