The West Salem Redevelopment Advisory Board advises the Council on conservation, rehabilitation, and redevelopment matters within the West Salem Urban Growth Renewal Area. Meetings are held quarterly, generally in March, June, September, and December.

Special membership requirements: Five persons representing the interests of business owners, property owners and others with financial or occupational interest within the West Salem Urban Renewal Area, of which one is an industrial owner within the West Salem Urban Renewal District; two persons representing the Salem community at-large; one person representing the interests of business owners, property owners and others with financial or occupational interests within the Riverfront-Downtown Urban Renewal Area; and three persons representing residential areas within the boundaries of the West Salem Neighborhood Association, of which at least one is resident living within the West Salem Urban Renewal District.
